Scholarship Tips!
To help you focus time and efforts when applying here is a list of 100% time worthy applications for scholarships given out every year at the FHS awards night. Some applications are paper and others are strictly online but information for all of them is available through JoDee Lindvall in the Counseling Office. Everyone should apply for these local scholarships so everyone has a chance to enjoy the generosity and local support your community has for your continued education.
One key point to remember is if you are applying for a scholarship that asks or requires money to apply it most likely is a scam. Every viable scholarship is focused on handing money to students, not the other way around.

Remember to send thank you cards to sponsors of the scholarships you receive. Oftentimes the relationships built through scholarship activity carries on well into your adult life.

Once you receive notice of any scholarship you are offered please notify the Guidance Secretary so they may update the list of scholarship recipients, for the purposes of record keeping.

Helps veterans already enrolled in postsecondary education meet their household expenses when faced with unexpected financial setbacks. Ranging up to $1,000, these immediate, one-time grants are designed to keep recipients in school without creating undue financial hardship.
Scholarship Program Details:
Packaging Corporation of America is excited to offer scholarships to students interested in pursuing a degree in the following fields; electrical, pipefitting, millwright, machinist, diesel mechanics, and instrumentation. This is a full-tuition scholarship that will also cover the cost of student’s required textbooks for each enrolled class.
Qualifications:
Candidate(s) must be a graduating senior and have already been accepted to attend a
2-year college majoring in a program that aligns with our industry.
Meet entrance requirements of the specific school and any program-specific
requirements at the student’s designated college.

Qualifications:
Be a graduating senior accepted to attend a 4-year university acceptable to mill management. Acceptance letter to an accredited college or university must be provided.
Intend to enroll full-time with a declared major in either Chemical, Electrical, Paper Science/Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil or Environmental Engineering.
